We have begun a trial scheme to collect items which you can’t recycle in the Council blue/green bins. These are items which are collected elsewhere for recycling, eg through Terracycle, and which volunteers in the village are willing to transport when enough have accumulated. So far the scheme collects:

• Marigold rubber gloves

The grey collection box is in Oakington Village Stores and Post Office, Longstanton Road.

If you regularly visit a recycling drop-off point and could take items from the grey box, let us know and we can expand the range of items collected in it.
